Hi. I’m Jeffrey Stoltzfus.
Fus: rhymes with juice.
I was forged in the Amishy fires of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. No, I’m not Amish – but my great grandfather was. Until one day when I assume he was like, “Fuck this.” and walked out the door to the theme from Shaft. Now I enjoy the benefits of electricity. And I gotta say, it’s pretty fantastic.
After a childhood of running with scissors and a brief glue-sniffing addiction I set sail for the city of brotherly love where I attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia for video/film production.
After college I spent the next seven years working in live television news. During this time I also wrote, produced, and directed several short films and two feature length films. My second film, Victim’s Song, garnered a number of film festival awards and praise.
I’ve been paid for my brain by such companies as Comcast, NBCUniversal, Dakota Films, Frameforge, Final Draft, and the Writers Store. I’ve taught classes on screenwriting and storyboarding and I’ve been a writer’s consultant for years.
I currently live in Los Angeles where I write screenplays and sip coffee like a douche bag.
My favorite genres are comedy, thriller, and action. I’m often drawn to weird, dark places.
